Quickstart Guide
The best way to get started with Fire★ depends on which platform you're running. Currently, we support:
Windows

Download the latest build

Run
firestr.exe

You should be asked to input a username and password

The username and password is never sent to a server.

OS X

Download the latest build
-
Open
firestr_latest.dmg
-
Drag the Fire★ icon into
Applications

Launch Fire★ from like any other app

You should be asked to input a username and password

Ubuntu

Download the latest build
-
Open
firestr_latest_amd64.deb
with Ubuntu Software Center (the default option) -
Type
nohup firestr&
in the terminal -
You should be asked to input a username and password

Other Platforms
At the moment, Fire★ only provides official builds for Ubuntu, Windows, and Mac (although if you'd like to maintain a Fire★ build for the platform of your choice, please feel free to get in touch. However, you can compile from source.
After Installation
After installation, you may want to connect to people and install some apps to start doing cool things with your friends.
